An email from Bill of Holmdel:

Joe:: I was fishing off Sandy Hook on Tuesday and a companion gave me a bottle
of water. The fine print on the bottle read as follows:

"Nestles Pure Life Purified Water is purified using reverse osmosis or
distillation and enhanced with a balance of minerals for taste. Contains
purified water, calcium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium sulfate". What
does this all mean?? Certainly it is not spring water.

This is an example of Nestles and many other bottled water corporations peddling
our tap water to our citizens at prices that astound me. Not to mention the
billions of empty bottles they generate that we find on our roadways and in our
waterways.

The only advantage of bottled water is transportability and the same tap water
can be put through a BRITA filter or equivalent and put in a bottle and the
bottle can used many times.

Our pockets are being fleeced by bottled water companies and they are making
millions on selling our water. NJ American is owned by a German Company, and I read in
the AP Press the other day the Toms River water supplier is SUEZ Corp, a French
Company. When are we going to wise up?
