The Bayshore Regional Watershed Council and its partners (Hazlet Area Quality of Life Alliance, Clean Ocean Action, and the Monmouth County Planning Board) have developed a Dredged Material Management Plan (DMMP) utilizing 2007 grant funds from the NJ Department of Transportations Office of Maritime Resources.
The public is invited to attend, as well as all government officials in the Bayshore region of Monmouth County, from the Borough of Highlands westward to Aberdeen Township.

During the meeting, the final draft of the DMMP will be released to share recommendations for managing Dredged Material in Bayshore Communities. The plan highlights the need for maintenance dredging, material storage and use limitations, and recommendations for promoting beneficial use of dredged material.
People wishing to review a copy of the DMMP or download their own version to read should go to the Bayshore Regional Watershed Council website at www.bayshorewatershed.org

Members of the public, elected officials, environmental commissioners, marina owners, harbor masters, and commercial and recreational boaters are encouraged to attend and participate.
