Flood Maps

An email from Ann Waters of MC Planning Baord:

Joe,

I checked with my husband who works for Insurance Services Office, an insurance
rating organization and supplier of information to insurance companies,
regarding flood mapping.  They do use a private flood mapping company for some
of their needs, as well as FEMA's information.  Here's the link to FEMA's map
service for flood maps

You can search by State, County and Municipality for flood maps.  It will bring
up an interactive viewer (much like DEP's I-Map) which allows you to view the
mapping of the area; you can print from the viewer or you can create a FIRMette
(Flood insurance rate map) online for free.  They do have a price list depending
on what you want. A map panel, paper or digitized on CD is only $3 - online
downloads $2.50.  Hopefully that can be useful for anyone who needs the
information.
