| 5-21 KEYPORT: Special Planning Board Meeting - Hovnanian Keyport Neighbors Re: Report on 5/21/07 Special Planning Board Meeting - Hovnanian The hearing on the new Hovnanian site-plan application was continued at a 5/21/07 Keyport Unified Planning Board (KUPB) Special Meeting. Their 2007 application is addressing changes made in the project buildings and site plans since the plans were approval by the KUPB in 2004. At the 5/21/07 meeting, the KUPB continued to hear testimony from an engineer and a planner representing Hovnanian. These Hovnanian representatives maintain that the plan changes have not resulted in the need for bulk-variances for the number of stories (4) and height of the building. Residents were allowed to question these two Hovnanian representatives after each of their presentations. The meeting ended before the questioning of the Hovnanian planner was completed. Another KUPB Special Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday June 6, 2006 starting at 7:30PM at Borough Hall. At this June 6 meeting residents will have the opportunity to continue questioning the Hovnanian planner, to give their input regarding the perceived failure of Hovnanian to follow the approved 2004 plans, and to recommend adjustments need in the 2007 plan to improve harmony with the neighborhood. Re: Report on 5/17/07 Planning Board Meeting - 206 Main Street Subdivisi There were insufficient members of the KUPB present on 5/17/07 to hear the application from "Term Properties, LLC to permit the applicant to subdivide, into two residential building lots, the property at 206 Main Street". Based on a new Public Notice from the applicant, the hearing on this application will be held on Thursday June 21,2007 at 7:00 PM at Borough Hall. Regards Michael Lane | ||||||||
